This is the unfinished draft of Jennifer Lee Lawson, MA's Master's Thesis. It was written in 2009.

An already well-known graduate student in philosophy, Lawson was attacked and fell ill while she was writing this thesis, sending her under doctor's care for over a decade.

This draft is being made available especially for YOU--an international audience--because Lawson believes her thesis must have been important enough for someone--whoever it was--to harm her.

This manuscript is social, cultural, political, and legal philosophy that deals specifically with Indigenous Peoples. Questions such as "Should we leave uncontacted tribal people alone?", "Who should be a tribal citizen?", and "Are tribes cultural entities?" are explored.

Lawson uses her piercing intellect to clarify, argue, and make distinctions on Indigenous issues today.
